Hobo With a Shotgun interview. Jason Eisner’s Hobo With A Shotgun won the Grindhouse trailer competition. Unfortunately, after SXSW we never heard much more about it. Here’s an interview with the director where he discusses his previous films, how they made Hobo and whether a feature version is in the works.
Canon releases it’s first AVCHD camcorder - the HR10. It records direct to DVD… and it’s pretty cute. But AVCHD? I’m even getting confused by the different formats now.
Dynamic Range, Latitude and the Quest for digital Film. This is a downloadable PDF document in which Juan Pertierra of Reel-Stream goes in-depth on the subject of Lattitude and Dynamic Range. It gets pretty tech-y, but if you’re a digital cinematographer, this is a must-read.
