DISQUIET: The first 7 minutes (NSFW)

By MicroCinema Scene • May 17th, 2007 • Category: Video

Matthew Doyle has posted the first 7 minutes of his excellent feature film Disquiet on YouTube. [Note: This is probably not-safe-for-work at most places of employment.] Disquiet is an excellent film that truly takes advantage of the strengths of low-budget micro-filmmaking and I highly recommend it. I should have reviewed Disquiet long ago, but something about the movie continues to elude me.  I love the use of still photos and and the soundwave during the opening credits. While it may see like a mere stylistic device, this sequence sets up the structure for the entire film and foreshadows the final sequence.

So check out the first 7 minutes and the entire film when you get a chance. It will be screened on Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at 2 pm at the Hoboken InternationalFilm Festival in the Burchard Theater. For more information on Disquiet, check out the MySpace profile.
