Tank

By Louis Fowler • May 17th, 2007 • Category: Action/Adventure

In less than two minutes, the faux-trailer for Tank, a grindhouse revenge thriller that director Christian Cisneros entered into the Grindhouse 101 trailer contest, is better than most straight to video thrillers that are released on a weekly basis. Sorry Eric Roberts fans!

Shot in the scratchy 70s-style of a recently found piece of film, Tank is the story of a double-crossed junkie who cleans up enough to even the score, and then hopefully score himself. Watching it, you get the same feeling like when you saw the Machete trailer for the first time: why the Hell isn’t this a real movie? It’s a perfect tribute to the grindhouse, b-movie ethos of real, goodtime action and filmmaking and if that weren’t enough, is just plain fucking bad-ass.  Definitely check this trailer out.
