Easter Bunny, Kill Kill!

By Louis Fowler • Mar 16th, 2007 • Category: Horror

At first glance, the hysterically titled Easter Bunny, Kill Kill! looks like the type of film where an anthropomorphic bunny, just in time for the holy holiday of Easter, goes on a hippity-hopping rampage, launching acidic eggs out of his ass and into the faces of nubile teens, out for some Palm Sunday poontang. And as great as an idea that is (and it is!), that is not what EB, KK! is about in the slightest. But it’s still a pretty damn entertaining film, nevertheless.

Single mom Mindy (Charlotte Marie) has finally met a new man, an abhorrent scumbag named Remington (an effective Timothy Muskatell). In front of her, he’s a sweet guy, but as soon as her back is turned, he’s all up in strippers, sorting piles of coke and shooting the occasional convenience store clerk in the face. This evil is only multiplied when he’s confronted by Mindy’s mentally handicapped teenage son (and the world’s number one Easter bunny fan) Nicholas (a literal Oscar-worthy performance by Ricardo Gray—he does an incredible job).

When mom is called to work, Remington is left in charge, but not more than five minutes after she’s out the door, he’s got a pedophile over, ready for some mass deviancy. Luckily, a rabbit-masked slasher protects young Nicholas, going to work on the assorted sickos.

Add in a completely shocking twist ending and you’ve got a fun, dark flick, all with a beet-red Easter flare that would even make Paas proud.
